Pelvic Pain
Whether it is pain with sex, menstrual pain, scar tissue adhesions, or pain while exercising or sitting, we will help get you back to your life without pelvic discomfort.

Urinary Incontinence
Leaking may be the reason you are not going to an exercise class or maybe it is just a nuisance that you are managing throughout your day. This is a common problem but it does not need to be your "normal."
Prenatal Physical Therapy
Hip and back pain are common during pregnancy, but you don't have to suffer. We can help you have a comfortable pregnancy. We also provide birth education to help you prepare for your birth. We would love to walk with you through this sacred journey and help you have a smooth birth.

Post-partum Physical Therapy
Receive experienced support to help you recover from your birth. If you are experiencing pain, leakage, diastasic recti, prolapse, or difficulty returning to your daily activities or exercise, we can help you get back to feeling normal again.

Why choose us?
-
One-on-one Care: At Sacred Roots, you will always work 1:1 with the same pelvic floor therapist every visit. You and your pelvic specialist will spend an hour working together every visit; never with an aid, double booked with another patient, or shuffled between different therapists.
- Work with a true specialist: Our therapists have dedicated their lives to pelvic health. At Sacred Roots, you won't see someone who has only taken one weekend course or who sees pelvic health patients "part time." We pride ourselves on our leading knowledge and expertise in pelvic floor rehab.
- Individualized care: Pelvic floor dysfunction can be complicated. Two people with similar symptoms can have different causes behind their symptoms. Everyone is different and that's why it's important that our therapists assess each patient as an individual to figure out where the dysfunction is coming from and help them get better with a plan specific to their needs.
- Address the body as a whole: At Sacred Roots, we believe in treating the whole body. We want to know if your old ankle sprain is contributing to your pelvic pain and treat accordingly.
- More than just Kegals: When pelvic floor therapy is done right, it is much more than kegals. You will receive individualized hands on care as well as an exercise home program that addresses your particular impairments. We believe the best physical therapy educates and empowers.

About
Dr. Amy Link, PT, DPT, PRPC
Dr. Amy is passionate about helping people get back to doing what they love without bothersome symptoms holding them back. After experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction herself, she knows what it feels like to be confused, ashamed, and dismissed. Too often, women are told there is nothing they can do about their pelvic pain, bladder, or bowel problems. Dr. Amy believes that our bodies are capable of profound healing and loves to walk along side others who are seeking to feel better in their bodies.
Dr. Amy graduated from the University of New Mexico with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She grew up in Farmington, NM and has been living in Albuquerque for over a decade. She is often found doing yoga, gardening, and walking in the Bosque with her husband, son, and two sweet dogs.
